COLLABORATIONS
AND SHARED SENSITIVITIES
MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2026

At Milan Design Week 2026, Rometti further strengthened its path through collaborations with partners who share an authentic approach to design and a deep respect for the culture of craftsmanship. A network of relationships with companies such as Poltrona Frau, Artemest and Baxter gave rise to experiences in which diverse sensibilities converge into a unified idea of quality and coherence.

For Rometti, Milan Design Week represents far more than an international appointment: it is an opportunity to strengthen relationships, exchange perspectives, and build shared narratives with partners who recognize in design a cultural responsibility before an aesthetic one. The 2026 edition highlighted, with particular intensity, the value of these affinities, showing how respect for materials and attention to detail can become a shared language. The collaboration with Poltrona Frau stands as a significant example. The Shiwa collection, designed by Yuki Nara, stems from a shared sensitivity toward artisanal processes and the time required to carry them out. Each vase is shaped using the slip-casting technique—an ancient method that demands precision and care—and is completed through manual interventions that give every piece its unique character. This collaboration is rooted in an approach to design that values authenticity and coherence, resulting in objects of quiet yet profound presence. Within L’Appartamento by Artemest, hosted at Palazzo Donizetti, our contribution became part of a curatorial narrative dedicated to Italy’s great heritage. The Lucernario by Ugo La Pietra, featured in the alcove designed by Urjowan Alsharif Interiors, found its natural place within an environment evoking atmospheres suspended between memory and contemporary interpretation. Here, design became storytelling, reaffirming the continuity between historical knowledge and new sensibilities. A similar spirit guided our presence within the Baxter Cinema, a project by Baxter, where selected collections—including Alma and Ipomea—contributed to an essential yet immersive setting. In this context, each element was conceived to express its own identity while remaining part of a broader composition: a harmonious balance where individuality and cohesion coexist. The same affinity was reflected in the Monochrome Affinity installation, curated by Netura at Palazzo Visconti. A selection of Rometti pieces was integrated into an exhibition path that enhanced the intrinsic qualities of surfaces and craftsmanship, emphasizing the value of restraint and precision. This edition of Milan Design Week clearly reaffirmed how central the relationship with like-minded partners is for Rometti. Collaborations grounded in respect, attentiveness, and expertise allow us to move beyond the single object, creating experiences that reflect a genuine and enduring culture of making. Within this network of relationships and shared intentions, design once again becomes the expression of a thoughtful approach, capable of standing the test of time with quiet authority.
