Louis Bottero

The spontaneity of the gesture.

His universe is defined by a graphic language combining calligraphy, signs, and symbolic forms, developed both on canvas and in three-dimensional works through textile sculpture and ceramics. Marked by the energy of gesture and spontaneity, his practice explores questions of identity, notably through the recurring figure of the mask. He develops and presents his work in France and internationally, and regularly creates in situ works and large-scale murals.
Born in 1989, Louis Bottero is a French visual artist whose primary medium is painting. Emerging from the graffiti movement, which he has practiced since the early 2000s, his work is rooted in a visual research informed by contemporary urban culture.
