A leading figure in fashion, the era of Chantal Thomass has contributed, with a new wave of designers, to redefine the contours of femininity. Her creative energy has spread beyond the boundaries of fashion, developing artistic collaborations, always following her wishes and vision with courage. The series of plates made with Rometti, in a limited edition of 8 pieces for each design, remains faithful to the irreverence of his favorite materials and themes, transposing his universe into an intimate and personal version. Clenched mouths that flirt and send kisses, bows, laces, glossy and opaque effects, black, white and red colors: the strong expressiveness of the ceramic plates is rendered by mixed techniques preserved by the manufacture such as relief, airbrush and brush hand, matelassé, kintsugi. The sculpture entitled "La folle chapelière" is a composition that summarizes and elevates the collaboration with Rometti on an artistic level in its own right. It is a unique piece made up of a series of objects produced by Rometti in collaborations with Chantal Thomass, modified, enameled separately and joined thanks to a final firing. In the sculpture we recognize elements of Le Chic Parisienne, Élégante, Parisienne, Bottine, the Bijou cameos and the Chic centerpiece. Along with the pieces born from the creative union of Chantal Thomass and Rometti, the Bettina Gallery also exhibits other pieces of the Italian ceramic manufacture made with another design icon: Ugo La Pietra.
