The language of ceramics meets the language of cinema in the collaboration between Rometti and the Umbria Film Festival—an exceptional synergy that celebrates talent through unique works born from a shared artistic vision.
ROMETTI AND
THE 2025 UMBRIA
FILM FESTIVAL
IN MONTONE

The 29th edition of the Umbria Film Festival has just come to a close. From July 8 to 13, the town of Montone was transformed into a vibrant stage for culture and remarkable encounters. Rometti took part in this special edition with its ceramic creations, contributing to the recognition of cinematic talent with refined and meaningful pieces. The Presenze by Ambrogio Pozzi, master of formal rigor and essential forms, were chosen to mark two key moments of the festival: the Presenza was awarded as the Excellence Award to director Saverio Costanzo, while the Doppia Presenza was presented to the winner of Amarcorti, the international short film competition. All guest filmmakers and jury members received one of the evocative Sfere Pianeti, iconic works by Jean-Christophe Clair, Rometti’s artistic director and, on this occasion, also a member of the Amarcorti International Jury. These spherical, symbolic objects evoke movement, harmony, and connection—a silent yet powerful homage to the creative journey of every artist. One of the most meaningful and memorable moments for the manufactory was the opportunity to meet key figures from the world of cinema, such as visionary director Terry Gilliam, honorary president of the Festival and honorary citizen of Montone, and Enzo D’Alò, a master of Italian animation, who was also awarded the prestigious Keys to the City during the event. These encounters added depth and human value to the shared experience. "Being chosen by the Umbria Film Festival as a representative of local excellence is a true honor for us. We share the same vision: to promote culture in its most authentic forms and to celebrate talent through creations that are not merely objects, but expressions of thought and beauty."– Massimo Monini, CEO of Rometti. With this collaboration, Rometti continues to engage in dialogue with the contemporary world, while remaining faithful to its experimental spirit and deep connection to the region. Our presence in Montone stands as a tangible sign of a shared path—where cinema and ceramics come together in a story of excellence, sensitivity, and vision.
